Project Manager

General Description:

Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing jobsite work and subcontractors

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Construction of large public works and Federal government projects
  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors on existing projects
  • Identify opportunities for utilization of small business subcontractors
  • Monitor and document safety compliance on jobsites
  • Prepare and manage job level budgets, including timely communication to Controller on status of costs incurred vs. budget and updates to projected cost to complete
  • Prepare and negotiate change orders with project owner
  • Provide technical and engineering support to Project Superintendents
  • Support he professional development of project engineers on managed projects
  • Prepare and coordinate submittals and Requests for Information with project owner
  • Utilize computerized scheduling software to schedule projects
  • Utilize estimating software to assist Chief Estimator in the bidding of new projects
  • Build effective working relationships with customers, specialty contractors and suppliers
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
