Project Description
Reyes Construction provided all operations necessary for the construction of a recycled 15,000 LF of water transmission main consisting of 24” CML steel pipe and 12”, 8”, 6” and 4” C-900 PVC pipe including tie-in connection to an existing, below grade 30” ductile iron pipeline, fittings, valves, air/vacuum valve assemblies, blow-off assemblies, cathodic protection assemblies and test stations, a jack and boring operation, restoration, traffic control and testing of pipeline facilities. Other tasks included: insulation kits and appurtenances and gaskets; exploratory excavation for utility conflicts; removal and/or protection of existing utilities and improvements; temporary or permanent support of utilities; construction staking; bedding, slurry, backfill and compaction; gate and butterfly valves and valve boxes and covers; temporary bulkhead for testing welding; shoring and bracing of trench.  Work also required the removal and replacement of PCC pavement and aggregate base course to match existing condition.  This included saw-cutting, grinding and/or pulverizing in-place.
