Project Description
This project was awarded to Reyes Construction, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the Former Navy Pier in San Diego, a pier which was originally constructed in 1913.  The project requires four (4) major areas of repair: 1) jet grouting beneath the mole retaining wall; 2) repair of the underdeck concrete; 3) repair of the concrete deck edge; and 4) upgrade of the concrete deck with a structural overlay.  Construction tasks include, but are not limited to: excavation, concrete placement, jet grouting, resurfaced pavement installation, demoltion of 2,000 LF of pier edge, placement of cast-in-place concrete, drainage structures, 100,000 SF of new concrete overlay, reinforcing steel,  1,500 LF of trench drain, pile cleaning, removal of unsound concrete, pile base excavation, forming, encasement concrete and other incidental work such as modification of utility services, installation of new mooring hardware, removal of abandoned utility lines, and pavement markings.
