    Mercury Drive Paving Repairs, LA AFB

    Reyes Construction reconstructed Mercury Drive from Douglas to Challenger Way; removed 3-inches of existing asphalt, remove sections of existing concrete curb and gutter, remove sections of concrete slabs, fine grade and compact sub-grade to 95% compaction; installed 1200 feet of curb and gutter, install 300 ft of sidewalk; and placed 10 inches of class II base and compact to 95% maximum density. Additionally, Reyes Construction applied tack coat to old asphalt edges and gutter edges; installed 3-inches of new asphalt and compact to 95% maximum density. Install 300 prismatic reflective markers and striped 6 traffic arrow signs and 6 stop signs. Traffic barricades and traffic control were provided until construction was completed.

  • C-17 Road Work & Utility Upgrades (FY 07)

    Reyes Construction, Inc. provided 6,500 LF of 8-inch waterlines at various locations of the C-17 area of Travis AFB; realigned the southern intersection of Dixon Avenue and Ragsdale Street, reconstructed Dixon Avenue from Ragsdale to Ellis Drive, constructed a parking lot and roadway at Broadway Street and Columbus Circle using 4,300 LF of 3-inch thick Asphalt Concrete over 13.5 inches of CMB. Additionally, we constructed waterlines along Ellis Drive including related apurtenances. All adjacent shoulders, curbs, gutters, driveways and approaches (8,600 LF) were constructed. Of notable mention, On January 28, 2009, RCI was seleceted as the recipient of the FY09 ROICC Travis Safety Through Awards and Recognition (STAR) for our outstanding safety performance, maintained throughout the life of this project.

Work included sawcutting, removal of existing asphalt concrete, recycling of asphalt concrete, excavation and grading, furnishing and placing crushed aggregate base, placement of asphalt concrete pavement, constructing concrete curbs and gutters, constructing concrete sidewalks and cross-gutters, installing geotextile material and rock for drainage, electrical underground transmission and distribution, exterior lighting, new street lighting, utility relocating, striping, shoulders, a pump station, French drainaged system, culverts, fire hydrants, and traffic control.
